DIY "It's not you, it's your eyebrows" top

Long time no talk and I will not post any excuses.  However, hopefully one day I will learn to post systematically.

Aside from that, here is a top I have made recently. I have seen it a few times on instagram and fell in love with it! Eyebrows are obviously important, hello! and it's just a witty-cute saying.  I was thinking about buying it, but when I saw the price of $35...for a t-shirt...I changed my mind and decided that I can make a very similar one for $5.  Hope I get to save some of you few bucks! I did not take a picture of every step, however I will explain everything I did.

You will need a plain white t-shit (I took one of my boyfriends old ones), Puffy fabric paint (I got one at Walmart),  small brushes with sturdy bristles (I had some older ones from art classes) something to put inside of your shirt to keep the fabric in one place and so the paint wont go through the fabric (I have an old canvas, but you can use a shoe box or an old book) a little bit of water to mix the puffy paint with and a pair of scissors.

  • First thing I did was put the canvas inside of my shirt, and folded the sleeves and the collar so it won't get in my way.
  • After that you can take a pencil and sketch out the letters and plan how you will spread them out.
  • Now all you have left is to put your artistic skills in action, not really, but you will have to paint the letters on. Slowly and with caution paint your letters, and be careful not to mix too much water with your paint because the water will spread through the fabric.   If you make a mistake don't worry, no one will notice.  These days there are many tops with "handwriting" font on them.
  • The painting part took me about an hour or so, probably because I was so concentrated on watching Pretty Little Liars (I've been addicted!)
  • When you are satisfied with your writing, leave the shirt to try for a few hours.
  • I did not take any pictures of that, BUT after the letters dried I cut off the sleeves, the collar and I made it a little shorter.
  • TAAA-DAAA

I love wearing this top to the gym, but you could also wear it everyday with a pair of jeans and some cute sandals.

Hope you guys enjoyed this DIY and if any of you decide to make this send me some pictures!
Talk to you soon!!!

Hey guys! We have survived another week!
I wanted to share with you one of my favorite trends.  V neck tees  I have been obsessed with them recently, wear them at least 4 days out of the week.  You can dress them up, by putting a cute cardigan or blazer over it or throw a pair of leggings on and run errands.  These are some examples of how I personally wear them.  Keep in mind that I did not accessorize too much, and with just a necklace, bracelets or a watch you can change your look.  Now you can pull them out of the back of your closet and get creative!  Let me know how you would wear your v-neck tee!
Have a great weekend! And come back soon for more :)

Maja
